The game will feature several different ways to traverse the mountain snowboarding, skiing, paragliding, and a wing suit. The games mechanics are more real world based – so don’t expect any crazy SSX tricks. So I do like the fact that it is favoring real world physics, I cant tell you how many hours I spent in Cool Boarders perfecting the perfect life like lines.

Visual Fidelity

With not much on screen to have to render, I’m hoping that the visual performance and physics in this game is top notch. I’d love to see immense detail put into my characters animations and have this game push the boundaries of what a down hill racer could be. In addition, fingers crossed, the wind physics play off the mountain side, creating wind gusts that are as predictable as they are deadly.

Looking at several gameplay videos there does appear to be fairly decent snow deformation, but this little touch maybe a bit difficult to fully enjoy bombing down the hills at full speed.

Lastly, I think this is the type of game that would 100% be made a hell of a lot more fun with complete cross platform play (mostly due to the expanded user base). We know that Microsoft who was previously a bit apprehensive about this has extended the invite to Sony on other games, but Sony has yet to accept the olive branch. Merging the user base would ensure that there is a huge base of players to share the world with, an especially big deal in this type of gaming environment.
